Humble Beginning
We got our start manufacturing wooden crates and trays for the produce market.
1980
Expanding Our Reach
We began manufacturing corrugated cases and trays in addition to wooden crates.
1991
Sale to H L Hutchinson Ltd
Produce Packaging was acquired by H L Hutchinson Ltd. and became part of the Hutchinsons family.
1995
Sale of Sites
We sold our manufacturing sites to focus on being a packaging distribution business.
1998
New Depots
Opened packaging depots in Ledbury, Wisbech and Selby
1999
Presence in Scotland
We expanded our reach to the north, opening our depot in Forfar, Angus.
2012
Purpose Built in Spalding
We combined our Wisbech and Selby depots into a new purpose-built depot in Spalding.
2016
Expansion in Scotland
We extended our depot in Forfar, expanding our capabilities.
2017
Brand Refresh
The Produce Packaging brand got a refresh, as did our head office in Marden.

Each model is built to suit different supply chain requirements, ensuring customers can choose the approach that best fits their operation, while manufacturers benefit from dedicated UK-based sales, service, and administrative support.
UK Sales Agent
We represent our manufacturing partners in the UK, providing local sales and customer support while customers trade directly with the manufacturer.
Direct Order
Customers order through Hutchinsons Packaging, with goods delivered directly from the manufacturer and supply chain managed by our team.
Depot Delivery
Customers receive packaging from our UK stockholding, reducing on-site stock, improving availability, and simplifying supply.
