Purpose
Assisting the Depot Supervisor in the day to day running of the depot covering chemical and packing products to ensure excellent customer service is maintained and deputise for Depot Supervisor in their absence.
My Role Specific Responsibilities
- Oversee Storage and Distribution of products from the Forfar depot and provide excellent customer service.
- Responsibility for stock accuracy and stock checks across the whole site ensuring stock administration processes are followed including daily, weekly and monthly stock checks as applicable.
- Dealing with all enquiries (verbally or by email) and entering customer chemical and packaging orders and return requests into the IFS system.
- Answering telephone calls and dealing with calls efficiently.
- Liaison with Customers and Colleagues (including Sales Staff, other depots, administration) to ensure adequate stocks of products are held to meet demands.
- Meeting and greeting visitors, customers and colleagues to the depot and assisting with the collection of products by customers as required.
- In conjunction with the Depot Supervisor, organise deliveries into loads and follow the process through picking to dispatching of loads. Working in the stores as and when required.
- Overseeing BRCGS Compliance with Depot Supervisor for both packaging stores and deliveries in/out
- Working with the Depot Supervisor on Road Haulage, vehicle, and ADR compliance.
- Awareness & understanding of product scanning system – Wadaco
- Checking paperwork returned by the delivery drivers and confirming delivery. General administration tasks to include photocopying, filing, scanning and maintaining efficient working practices.
- Resolving (with assistance where necessary) all anomalies in deliveries or receipts.
- Liaising with our Purchasing, Operations and Sales colleagues with regards to our customers’ requirements.
- Following the company processes and procedures to make sure that transactions are processed efficiently and accurately.
- Upholding company processes, procedures and values paying particular attention to the ‘Delivery Drivers and Depot Staff Performance Standards’.
- You will take your part in ensuring the Company Health and Safety Policy is followed.
General
- Deputising for the Depot Supervisor when required including directing other member of staff
- Be open and honest and contribute and commit to receiving and giving feedback in the performance review process. Take part in future surveys and other feedback opportunities.
